Elder and District Missionary
Elder Timothy L. Jefferson
Elder Timothy Jefferson affectionately known as Pastor J, has served in ministry for over 35 years. He is a native of New Mexico where he served under the late Bishop Willie Charles Green. Elder Jefferson accepted Christ in 1987 and began working in various ministries including Sunday School, YPWW, the choir and the Men’s ministry as a junior Deacon where he gained a solid foundation for being faithful in ministry. He has a genuine desire to impact the lives of others to help them achieve all that God wills for them.
Elder Jefferson relocated to Omaha, NE in 1993 and served faithfully at Mount Zion Church of God in Christ for 16 years. Elder Jefferson and Evangelist Edwanda A. Jefferson are married with two children Nathaniel and Elizabeth. He was ordained in 2002 under Bishop John O. Ford of the Nebraska First Jurisdiction. In 2009, Elder and Evangelist J were led to Joy of Life Ministries in 2009 where they received strong leadership training to prepare them for a time such as this.
Elder Jefferson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science degree in Community Counseling from Eastern New Mexico University and the University of Nebraska at Omaha, respectively. Throughout his professional career Elder Jefferson has worked in various capacities with employers such as Father Flanagan’s Home for Boys (also known as Boys Town, Omaha Public Schools, and the most recent employer State of Nebraska. Elder Jefferson recognizes that many of the opportunities he has experienced come from simply being faithful to the task.

Evangelist Arlette Jefferson
Evangelist Jefferson was born and raised in Clovis, New Mexico. She attended the first Church of God in Christ where she served under the late Bishop Willie Charles Green. In 1986, she received the Lord Jesus Christ and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost soon thereafter.

After graduating high school, she relocated to Omaha Nebraska where she attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha. In 1995, She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems. Currently, she is employed as a Solution Lead and Software Engineer.

Evangelist Jefferson is married to Elder Timothy Jefferson. She has two children. Her son’s name is Nathan Jefferson and her daughter’s name is Elizabeth Jefferson.

Evangelist Jefferson served as a member of Joy of Life Faith Ministers under the leadership of Bishop Eric L. and Co-Pastor Cynthia Butler. She has served in multiple positions in the church which include working as a youth department leader, choir member, praise and worship leader and a Sunday School Teacher. She is a licensed missionary. Evangelist Jefferson is serving as the District Missionary for the Monte J Bradford District and currently in transition as the first lady of Mount Zion C.O.G.I.C. Her calling is to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her desire is to see Jesus lifted and to see souls being saved.
